Ron Wegner has been in the taxidermy industry since 1980. Ron received his advanced training from Steve Henthorn, a Golden Master in taxidermy. In 2005, Wegner’s School of Taxidermy was created to help students earn a higher quality of knowledge, in the rewarding field of taxidermy. Overall, Wegner’s School Taxidermy can be characterized as providing skills in the field of taxidermy needed to endow the student’s future independent financial success. We are determined to become a driving force in the instruction of taxidermy across the nation.

Background 
For many years Wisconsin citizens have had limited opportunities to learn taxidermy. We are the third school in Wisconsin and the one of the few schools in southern Wisconsin.  I’m going to apply all the skill of instruction taught to me by Master taxidermist Steve Henthorn. Based on my 25 years experience in the field, and numerous years of private instruction, our students will develop the latest techniques used by the industry leaders. Unlike other schools that work assembly line fashion, our classes designed to be small and personal. Where student will receive many hours of one to one instruction and hands on projects.
 Our students will learn on state of the art equipment, they will develop skills and  knowledge they can apply to creating their own business. This is the missing niche in the marketplace we’re going to exploit. Our instruction will not be the type based on video correspondence, but will but real qualified instructors working with students on real projects.

Accredited
We have just started development a novel curriculum and completed our application to the state of Wisconsin, Education Approval Board (EAB). With the granting of this application we will be one of only two accredited taxidermy schools in Wisconsin.
