at WEGNER'S SCHOOL OF TAXIDERMY SMALL MAMMAL TAXIDERMY CLASS The
subject for this program wills a Raccoon. The program will make it possible
for the student preserving all types of small mammals. Includes method
in mounting open or closed mouths.
Day 1 -
Instruct how to measure for form. Instruct how to skin mammal. Instruct
how to skin by dorsal cut and belly cut both ways. Instructor will lead
a demonstration on methods to split lips, eye, nose and toes. Instruct
how to flesh hides.
Day 2 - Instructor will lead a demonstration on tanning of hides. Instruct setting up form for mounting. Open mouth or closed mouth. Day 3 - Instruct sewing holes in hide. Mounting mammal. Day 4 - Instruct creating scenery for mounts. Lecture stressing the importance of reference pictures. Day 5 -
Instruct
