at WEGNER'S SCHOOL OF TAXIDERMY TURKEY TAXIDERMY CLASS Day
1 - Instructor will lead demonstration on how to sever the turkey head
from body. Instructor will lead demonstration on sever tail from body.
Instructor will lead demonstration on finishing skinning body from skin.
Begin fleshing turkey skin.
Day 2 - Students will continue fleshing turkey skin. Instructor will lead demonstration on freeze drying turkey head. Students will follow instructions on there own specimens. Instruct washing turkey skin and preserving the skin for mounting. Day 3 - Instructor will lead demonstration on sewing holes in turkey skin. Students will follow instructor on there own specimen. Instruct setting up turkey body for mounting. Instruct students on pumping feet so feet do not shrike. Instruct students how to paint turkey head. Day 4 - Students will continue painting the turkey head. Instruct mounting turkey, students will follow instructions on there own specimen. Day 5 - Continue mounting turkey. Instruct building habitat. Day 6 - Instruct finishing turkey, painting the legs, preening the turkey feathers. Critique turkey and fill out evaluation sheets. Professional Taxidermy program includes:
